The Sibling Leadership Network (SLN) seeks a Communications Technology volunteer to assist with technical aspects of our communications. Our communications hub is our WordPress website, which also has a blog function. We are looking for someone who has experience using WordPress, especially regarding navigating between WordPress and other social media platforms, such as Facebook, YouTube and Mailchimp. The position consists of updating the SLN website with relevant and timely content as discussed and provided by the Communications Committee and other SLN members. In conjunction with maintaining the SLN WordPress site, we would also like the other social media outlets to be optimized with the website, so that our outreach efforts are efficient. Ultimately, we seek to maximize our visibility, increase our membership as well as get important information to our network. The time commitment is flexible, with an estimate of about 8 hours per month. This includes monthly 1-hour meetings by conference call with the SLN Communications committee. The SLN is a national nonprofit with state chapters dedicated to providing siblings of individuals with disabilities the information, support, and tools to advocate with their brothers and sisters and to promote the issues important to them and their entire families.
