There’s so much more to the annual Disability Policy Seminar than just sessions on the pressing advocacy issues of the day. The event is designed to prepare you with information and resources you need to effectively talk to your representatives in Congress and advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities when we all head to Capitol Hill on Wednesday, the last day of the event.
Before you come, be sure to coordinate your visits to Capitol Hill with others in your state. You will find a listing by state of who is registered to attend so far along with some resources to help you make the most of your Hill visits at www.disabilitypolicyseminar.org. Look under the Resources tab for the State Listing Spreadsheet along with a variety of tips sheets and information.
And during your time in here plan to take in some of the amazing attraction our nation’s capital has to offer travelers.
