Eric McVay: SABE Representative on SLN Board

EricM cVayEric McVay has been a dedicated board member of the Sibling Leadership Network (SLN) since February 2013.  Eric serves as a representative of Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE), the national self-advocacy organization for people with developmental disabilities.  Eric has the important role of sharing information between the SLN and SABE as our organizations work together to advocate for change that will improve the lives of people with disabilities and their families.

Eric recently attended the SABE Board meeting at the end of January in Maryland.  At this meeting, Eric became the official Regional Representative for SABE’s Region 8.  At the SABE Board meeting, Eric provided updates about the work of the SLN.  Then he shares information about the work of SABE with the SLN Board. Eric is a smart, energetic, and valuable asset to the SLN Board and serves as a model of an ambassador for the SLN’s mission.  He is active in advocacy and knowledgeable about policies that impact people with disabilities.  Eric lives in his family home in Maine and he has a close relationship with his younger sister.
