SiblingResources.org is thrilled to announce the launch of two free, online self-paced courses to provide information and resources about the experiences of siblings of people with disabilities. One course is for siblings of adults with disabilities and the other is written for service providers. In these courses, you will find written resources, video presentations, audio clips, and a reflective question journal that you may choose to download and print.
You can find the course at https://siblingresources.org/course
We have received great feedback about these online learning modules. One sibling told us: “It was absolutely amazing. I am now 61 and so grateful that there is now so much out there for a sibling to get help.  I’m sorry these resources were not here for me when I was growing up but grateful that I was able to become a part of this community.”
A provider told us: “I think the resources are excellent. I love the breakdown of topics and I found it very easy to navigate.”
SiblingResources.org has been created through a meaningful collaboration of the Yang-Tan Institute in the ILR School at Cornell University, the Sibling Leadership Network, and SibsNY. Thanks to a grant from NYS Developmental Disabilities Planning Council, we are building the community for adult siblings of individuals with disabilities throughout New York State.
If you have not yet joined us at www.siblingresources.org please do so and encourage your friends, colleagues, and families to join as well.  We look forward to “seeing” you in the SiblingResources online community, where these new courses are just one of many resources offered to our members!
