What do self-advocates think about family support? How do their family members best support them, and what we can do to improve family support? The SLN partnered with the Family Support Research and Training Center at University of Illinois at Chicago to ask self-advocates at the 2014 Self Advocates Becoming Empowered Conference how their families support them. We also asked self-advocates: what do family members need to know in order to improve family support?
