The Sibling Leadership Network
In partnership with our friends at Supporting Illinois Brothers and Sisters (S.I.B.S.), we’re sharing an invitation for siblings to share their grief and loss stories. 💙A few years ago, S.I.B.S. invited siblings to share their grief and loss stories. While they received several meaningful submissions, the sibling community has grown—and with so many new voices, we feel called to open this invitation again. We invite you to share reflections on your brother or sister—memories, lessons, moments of joy, and the experience of loving and losing someone who shaped your life. These stories will be featured in the S.I.B.S. Sibling Grief Blog, a growing collection dedicated to honoring sibling lives and uplifting the voices of those who loved them. You do not need to be a writer. Your voice matters. Your story matters. 💙S.I.B.S. has created simple story guidelines. Please email info@sibsnetwork.org to request them before submitting your story. How to participate:💙 Email info@sibsnetwork.org to request story guidelines💙 Write your story at your own pace💙 Submit when you feel readyYou can also visit sibsnetwork.org/sibling-grief to read stories that have previously been shared.Sibling grief is often invisible. This collection aims to honor the lives of siblings, give voice to sibling grief experiences, help others feel less alone in their grief journey, and build understanding of the lifelong bond between siblings. ...

✨Disability Pride Month is a wonderful opportunity to learn from disabled voices and deepen our understanding of disability history, culture, advocacy, and lived experience. We've gathered a selection of books, podcasts, and films that have been recommended by disability-led organizations, advocacy groups, libraries, and educational institutions. While no single resource can represent the full diversity of the disability community, we hope this collection serves as a meaningful starting point for learning, reflection and conversation. The resources included here are shared for educational purposes and to encourage exploration. Their inclusion does not necessarily constitute an endorsement by the Sibling Leadership Network, nor do they represent the perspectives of all people with disabilities.Do you have a favorite disability-centered book, podcast, or film? We'd love to hear your recommendations in the comments. 💙 ...
