Boston Area Sibshop Training!

General

Dear friends,

Earlier this week I sent an email about the Boston area Sibshop training.  There is now an email contact—please see below!

Saturday and Sunday October 31/November 1, 2009
Two-day Sibshop Training
Danvers, Massachusetts
Northeastern Arc
Registration Contacts:
Judy Bouffard 978-624-2321
Louann Larson 978-624-2328
Email (please put “Sibshop” in the subject line) llarson@nsarc.org
$125 for trainees (two full days)
$50 for 1st day only

If you want to become a first generation facilitator, attending both days is the way to do so.  Besides learning a lot about sibs, you’ll also be an active participant in a lively demonstration Sibshop with local young brothers and sisters on the second day.

Are you an adult sib who’d like to attend an event about sibs’ issues–and maybe connect with some other adult sibs?  Then consider attending the first day, when we explore sibs issues across the lifespan.  Then again, you might want to attend both days to become a Sibshop facilitator!  We love having adult sibs as Sibshop leaders.

Are you a parent or service provider who would like to (finally!) have a chance to explore issues regarding the “other kids” in the family?  If so, consider joining us for the first day.  We’ll talk about sibs’ unique joys and concerns and the implications they have for both parents and professionals.

For additional information on the training, visit http://www.siblingsupport.org/workshops/index_html and http://www.siblingsupport.org/workshops/2009-2010-workshop-description.pdf

I hope to see you there!

Don
