Celebrate 24 Years of the Americans with Disabilities Act
July 26 marks the 24th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act! The Sibling Leadership Network (SLN) is excited to join disability organizations across the country to celebrate the anniversary and look forward the exciting year ahead leading up to the 25th anniversary. The SLN recently endorsed the Six by ’15 campaign – an effort to recognize the anniversaries of the ADA and IDEA by working to achieve six national goals important to people with disabilities by the end of 2015. Check out a list of events and celebrations on their blog. On July 25, the ADA Legacy Project will begin its year-long nation-wide tour of exhibits and workshops leading up to the 25th anniversary.
