Ohio SIBS, the Ohio state chapter of the Sibling Leadership Network, is holding their 14th Annual Ohio Adult Sibling Conference, scheduled for November 7-8, 2014 at the Columbus Airport Marriott Hotel.
Keynote Speakers include:
Andrew McQuaide, an adult sibling who works for the State of Rhode Island Department of Developmental Disabilities as the Coordinator of Community Development and Planning. He is responsible for administering the Department’s Employment First Policy.
Meghan Burke, the oldest of five siblings, including a brother, Ryan, who has Down Syndrome. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Co-Chair of the SLN Research Committee.
Kim Linkinhoker, the Associate Director for the Ohio Association of County Boards of DD. He is responsible for training and technical assistance. He also coordinates the annual conferences and provides support for the OACB online training center.
In addition to these speakers, we will have a number of presentations by knowledgeable leaders in the field, many of whom are siblings.
