Application Deadline: November 14, 2014
The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council is a federally funded public policy and advocacy organization. Our mission is to advance the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all facets of community life by eliminating barriers, creating opportunities, empowering people, and promoting innovation. The Special Projects Coordinator will work with Council staff and outside partners to prioritize the tasks to be accomplished in meeting it’s mission.

One of the DD Council’s goals is to increase support available to children and adults in Maryland who have siblings with developmental disabilities.  As such, we have formulated a new contractual position dedicated solely to advancing this issue.

The Special Projects Coordinator will not provide the support, rather he/she will work in partnership with others, including siblings, to identify and implement a variety of new and exciting strategies focused on children, teens, young adults, and adults.

This is a part-time contractual position with a flexible work schedule and the option to tele-work.
