September is National Preparedness Month, and the SLN believes it’s important to be ready in case of an emergency. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is doing important work surrounding disability and emergency preparedness, and their website is a great starting point. FEMA also released a fact sheet earlier in 2015 about inclusive emergency management. For more guidance on preparedness strategies, Ready.gov has information and toolkits to create emergency plans.
