Registration is open for this year’s Disability Policy Seminar!
When: April 23-25, 2018
Where: Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Attendees will have the opportunity to cultivate champions on Capitol Hill and advance the grassroots movement for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). There will be informative sessions from experts in the field, and opportunities to discuss key issues with others from your state, culminating in visits to Capitol Hill during which attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly to their representatives about the high-priority issues that affect them most.
On April 24th, don’t miss the Sibling Breakfast that will be co-facilitated by Sibling Leadership Network leaders. The Sibling Leadership Network is proud to be a promotional partner of the 2018 Disability Policy Seminar.

Hello from New York,
For siblings who are interested in participating but lack the knowledge on current policies and laws, how may they seek support prior to attending the seminar next month?
Thank you!
The seminar is designed specifically to teach advocates about current issues in disability policy, including sessions designed to be at the “101” level, so don’t worry about doing too much prep work. However, if you are interested in learning more about current issues in disability policy, you may want to check out the Association of University Centers on Disabilities policy newsletter: https://www.aucd.org/template/page.cfm?id=164 (the sign up link is on the right side of the page).
