AUCD is offering a series of webinars for Autism Awareness Month

The Association of University Centers on Disabilities will be hosting a dynamic series of webinars in observance of Autism Awareness Month this April. The series will cover a range of issues close to the ASD community including reducing disparities, treating mental health and how families can support one another while caring for an individual with ASD. Autism is a developmental disability that now affects 1 in 54 children in the United States according to the Center for Disease Control’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network.

  • Thank you for pointing out that autism is a common condition, that affects 1 in every 54 children. My wife is pregnant and she has a family with a history of autism. Perhaps I can entice her to have our baby scanned for autism.
