Research Study Announcement: Promoting Authentic Friendships between People with and without Disabilities

General

There’s no better time for thinking about the value of meaningful relationships! If you’re a person with a disability, a parent or sibling of someone with a disability, who cares about having friends, please complete this survey: http://bit.ly/2IHaQId (Word and PDF versions are also available at this link).
Sometimes people labeled with disabilities have difficulty finding and maintaining authentic friendships with individuals with and without disabilities. Our new research project, “Promoting Authentic Friendships between People with and without Disabilities,” addresses those difficulties by focusing on the positive experiences, friendship strategies, and authentic relationships that are enjoyed by some individuals with disabilities.
We want to learn more about how friendships are created and sustained, so we hope you will share your ideas with us! This effort is a collaboration between University of New Hampshire and Boston University.
