The Sibling Leadership Network (SLN) mourns the victims of the March 16 murders in Atlanta, Georgia and grieves in solidarity with the Asian and Pacific Islander Community. The SLN is committed to advancing racial justice for all people with disabilities and their families. Our work includes efforts to be anti-racist, stop xenophobia, and combat white supremacy. With the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a spike in hate violence against Asian people stemming from racism and xenophobia. In the last year alone, the Stop AAPI Hate coalition reported nearly 3,800 incidents of anti-Asian hate, violence, and discrimination occurring in the United States. We recognize that there is a long history of anti-Asian discrimination in the US. We stand united with our brothers and sisters in condemning anti-Asian hate, discrimination, and oppression in all of its forms.
Thank you,
Sibling Leadership Network
