“Calling all Siblings of people with disabilities who are also people of color!
The Sibling Transformation Project knows how important a “caucus” space is for siblings – a space where we can be together with just other siblings of people with disabilities to share our experiences with each other and make meaning of what we’ve experienced in the world. And, we know that people with multiple marginalized identities need this kind of caucus space for these intersections, too.
Disability Justice is a movement led by disabled people of color – and as siblings, we can learn much from this movement about how to build an anti-ableist world. So, we’re bringing all this together for a training just for siblings of people with disabilities who are also people of color on Disability Justice.
The training will be led by an amazing Disability Justice leader, India Harville. We’re really excited to have India with us because she brings amazing facilitation, embodied presence, and lots of heart in addition to her really solid content in understanding Disability Justice.”
