Sibling Support in International Context
This panel is about sibling support in international context. It includes participants from Nigeria, India, Canada, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, and Australia. A range of topics related to running sibling support in each location will be up for discussion on the panel, potentially including:
- what is currently happening for siblings in each country;
- common areas of practice, e.g. supporting child and young adult siblings;
- intended future developments in sibling support in each location; and
- the policy and resourcing context for siblings in each country, including with regard to national disability/family policies, future planning and COVID-19 experiences.
As the conversation develops, panelists will also be asked to reflect on the similarities and differences between their experiences of running sibling support and on what future opportunities exist for international collaboration and capacity building for sibling support.
