The Sibling Leadership Network is delighted to recognize Harriett Redman as the recipient of 2021 Don Meyer Award!
Harriett is the Executive Director of WisconSibs, the Wisconsin State chapter of the the Sibling Leadership. Harriett is the founder of WisconSibs’ predecessor organization, the Fox Valley Sibling Support Network. Harriett’s vision and leadership grew WisconSibs from a local non-profit to a statewide organization. Wisconsibs serves “siblings of people with disabilities along their lifelong journey through peer support programs, education and networking opportunities, leadership development, and more.” To learn more about WisconSibs or support their efforts visit https://wisconsibs.org/.
The Don Meyer Award is designed to honor an individual or organization that embodies and exemplifies the values exhibited by Don. This individual or organization will have demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting siblings of people with disabilities. This includes promoting the value of sibling support and being innovative and persistent in creating tangible solutions that help support siblings of people with disabilities.
