From the Autism & Grief Project:
“Autismandgrief.org is launching soon!
The Nancy Lurie Marks Family Foundation has awarded a grant to Hospice Foundation of America to build a website about grief for autistic adults, their families and friends, and the professionals who serve them.
The website will contain first-person accounts of autistic adults discussing how they have reacted to and coped with death and non-death loss.

  • We are seeking autistic adults and/or their family members who are willing to share their experiences of loss in on-camera interviews. Clips of the interviews will be used on the website and possibly in continuing education programs for clergy and health, social service, and other professionals.
  • On-camera interviews will last 15 to 45 minutes. We will interview autistic adults who are verbal, non-verbal, or who use communication-assisted devices. As needed, support persons may also be part of the interview.
  • Those consenting must be able to sign or have a representative sign a release form, which will be provided before the interview occurs.

Are you an autistic adult or family member interested in helping others by sharing your personal story of grief and loss?
